I am currently working on stellar evolution, and in particular on the theoretical modelling of young stellar objects by means of the FRANEC evolutionary code. My research activity is mainly focused on the first stage of the pre-main sequence evolution, from the early accretion phase of  very young stars up to the onset of hydrogen burning. I also collaborated to the construction of a large database of stellar evolutionary tracks and isochrones, the Pisa Stellar Models Database, which covers a very large range of masses, ages, and chemical composition values.
